Memorial Day

Despite the rest of the weekend being rainy, Memorial day turned out to be a beautiful day.  Evan went on his first stroller ride, We spent the rest of the day enjoying lots of family time. In the afternoon we went to the Iowa Cubs game and then went to Tom and Jenny's for grilling. 

He looks so little in there and yes we did actually take him outside.

Evan screamed through his first few baths, but now seems to really enjoy them. He talks and kicks the whole time.

Mother's Day

This year I had the privilege to celebrate Mother's day. The day started with some time alone. Marshall took Evan and Luna to Nana and Papa's house. How did I spend the time? I took a shower, did some laundry, cleaned, and made cookies. How else would a new mom spend some alone time?

I did not get any pictures of the afternoon, but we spent it with the Cavanagh's celebrating the mothers and May birthdays. Evan got plenty of cuddles and we got plenty of good food.

I feel very blessed to be Evan's mom. I am so lucky to have so many mother figures in my life. They all have showed me what is to be a great mother. There is no better feeling in this world. 

1 Month

I know I will say it every month, but I cannot believe Evan has been in our lives for a month. He enjoys eating and snuggles and hates baths.

Go Cubs Go

Sunday we spent a beautiful day cheering on the Iowa cubs. The weather was perfect and the cubs won. What more could we ask for?
