Baptism

Yesterday, Evan was baptized at St. James Lutheran Church. The gown he wore was made by my grandma 65 years ago for my uncle. It has been worn by 10 babies in 3 generations. The church was filled with people who love Evan.

Father's Day

Evan is so blessed to have so many wonderful men in his life. We spent Father's day with our most favorite. It was a hot, but beautiful day.

Evan loves his dad so much. Dad always makes Evan smile, even without trying. He is helpful, caring, and patient. He is an amazing father and husband.
Evan and Dad

Papa Brad is fun and would do anything for us. Evan can't wait to be old enough to get into trouble with Papa.

Papa Jack has the best lap for sleeping, snuggles, and reading. Evan is always so content just sitting with Papa. Papa Jack would drop everything for us.
Evan started the day wearing a T-shirt, pants, and socks.
Many degrees later, this how he ended up.

Evan will no doubt grow up to be a remarkable person with all these men as examples.

Memorial Day

Despite the rest of the weekend being rainy, Memorial day turned out to be a beautiful day.  Evan went on his first stroller ride, We spent the rest of the day enjoying lots of family time. In the afternoon we went to the Iowa Cubs game and then went to Tom and Jenny's for grilling.

He looks so little in there and yes we did actually take him outside.

Evan's cousins love him so much!

We are grateful for those who are and have served this country and especially those who gave their life. We hope everybody else had a safe and happy day.

Splish Splash

Evan screamed through his first few baths, but now seems to really enjoy them. He talks and kicks the whole time.

There is nothing better than a clean smelling baby!
